San Antonio Hilton gets Texas-inspired renovation

In Texas, the Hilton San Antonio Hill Country has completed a major renovation. The newly updated 227-room hotel has more than 12,500-square-feet of meeting space, a garden courtyard with individual fire pits, three onsite dining outlets including a seasonal outdoor pool bar, a 24-hour fitness center, a pantry market, lobby gift shop and grab-and-go coffee bar. The hotel also has three heated outdoor pools, including a dedicated kids' pool, a lap pool and a family pool.

Texas-based design firm Studio 11 Design drew inspiration from the surrounding Texas Hill Country. The redesign includes Austin stone and upholstery inspired by traditional weaves, creating a textural palette that balances muted, natural backdrops with inviting accents. These accents reflect the Texas sky, local cacti and local peaches.

The guestrooms now include Western-inspired furniture and complementary textures and patterns for added warmth. Each room includes Hill Country-inspired artwork, drapery, wall finishes and plush carpeting. Amenities include Cuisinart coffee stations, work desks with multiple outlets and USB connections, guest amenity stations with space to hang clothes, mini refrigerators and shelves for luggage and shoes. The bathrooms have large mirrors and counter space; suites also have soaking tubs and walk-in showers. The Presidential Suite has a larger living room area, dining space and a wet bar.

The Spur Texas Kitchen & Bar serves three meals per day and has a courtyard for outdoor dining or drinks. The Tortuga Pool Bar serves light bites and cocktails poolside while DoubleShot is a grab-and-go coffee bar.

The property incorporated energy-efficient lighting throughout the building.

HRI Hospitality’s operating company, HRI Lodging, worked with several partners on the renovation including Studio 11 Design, architecture firm //3877, construction company Moline Construction and FF&E/OS&E purchasing firm Benjamin West.
