Pyramid Global Hospitality to manage California's Mission Inn Hotel & Spa

Pyramid Global Hospitality has added The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside, Calif., to its Benchmark Resorts & Hotels collection of independent hotels.

The new management follows the property's acquisition by the San Manuel Investment Authority, an instrumentality of Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation. The partnership marks the first collaboration between Pyramid and the property's new ownership group.

Pyramid assumed management of the 238-room hotel in May and will oversee operations. The Boston-based management firm is also assuming operations of the sales and marketing, revenue management, food-and-beverage operations, the property's spa, catering services and approximately 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Originally established in 1876, The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa is designated as a National Historic Landmark. The property is known for its Mission Revival architecture, guestrooms and suites, dining venues, art and artifact collections and its annual Festival of Lights holiday event.

“The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa has an incredible legacy and a deep connection to the Riverside community. We will honor that legacy and connection while unlocking new opportunities for the growth of the hotel and its associates,” Warren Fields, CEO of Pyramid Global Hospitality, said in a statement.

“The Mission Inn is a historic landmark that is deeply woven into the history and identity of downtown Riverside,” added Lynn Valbuena, chairwoman of the San Manuel Investment Authority and Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation.
