U.S. hotel performance during the week of Nov. 6-12 came in higher than the previous week and showed improved comparisons to 2019, according to STR's latest data.
For the week (percentage change from comparable week in 2019):
- Occupancy: 64.6 percent (+0.9 percent)
- Average daily rate (ADR): $148.43 (+17.1 percent)
- Revenue per available room (RevPAR): $95.89 (+18.2 percent)
In comparison, for the week of Oct. 30 to Nov. 5 (percentage change from comparable week in 2019):
- Occupancy: 62.4 percent (-9.2 percent)
- ADR: $147.48 (+11.4 percent)
- RevPAR: $91.99 (+1.1 percent)
Top Markets
Among STR’s top 25 markets, Norfolk/Virginia Beach reported the largest occupancy increase over 2019 (+14.3 percent to 63.6 percent).
San Diego posted the largest ADR increase over 2019 (+35.2 percent to $202.86).
The steepest RevPAR declines were in San Francisco (-26.7 percent to $154.46) and Minneapolis (-16.3 percent to $68.41).
