Oklahoma City hotel rebrands, joins Hyatt portfolio

The Fordson Hotel, previously known as the 21c Museum Hotel Oklahoma City, has joined the Hyatt portfolio. This move is part of a collaboration with Hall Capital and Avion Hospitality, the hotel’s owner and operator. The property is expected to become part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand in late 2023.

The Fordson Hotel is located in the West Village District near downtown Oklahoma City. It occupies the former Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant, a building over a century old and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The hotel’s design evokes Ford's history, maintaining an industrial aesthetic complemented by contemporary furnishings.

With 135 guestrooms and suites, the property has high ceilings and large steel windows. In addition to 14,000 square feet of meeting and event spaces, the hotel has a spa and fitness center, a pool terrace and three dining options: Mary Eddy’s Dining Room, Pool Bar and Bodega.

“We’re excited to collaborate with Hall Capital and Avion Hospitality to offer travelers a sophisticated yet unscripted experience in Oklahoma City’s emerging West Village District,” David Tarr, senior vice president of development, Hyatt, said in a statement. “Hyatt continues to prioritize thoughtful growth in the markets most relevant to our loyal guests and World of Hyatt members, and this forthcoming addition to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand will offer guests even more story-worthy experiences.”
