Aspen Hospitality converts Denver hotel to Limelight

Aspen Hospitality officially converted the Hotel Born, adjacent to Denver’s Union Station, to the Limelight Denver. The rebranded hotel will implement select programming changes, including adding an adventure concierge and new philanthropic efforts focused on the Denver community.

Over the balance of 2023, additional enhancements will be made throughout the hotel as the property completes its conversioin. The hotel is the first urban location for the Limelight brand, and joins the existing Limelight portfolio in Aspen and Snowmass, Colo., and Ketchum, Idaho. Two additional properties, Limelight Hotel & Residences in Mammoth, Calif., and Limelight Boulder are currently under construction and slated for completion in 2025.

The hotel first opened in 2017 and was developed by Continuum Partners, who served as co-master developer of the Union Station Neighborhood. The property has 200 guestrooms, 14,000 square feet of meeting space and the Citizen Rail restaurant.

“This is an exciting day for Aspen Hospitality as we, in partnership with Continuum Partners, officially introduce the first urban location to the Limelight portfolio,” Aspen Hospitality CEO Alinio Azevedo. “We are focused on new markets that align with the brand’s deep-seated sense of curiosity and community, and gives our team members the opportunity to work across varied geographies. Denver has long been a city that attracts those seeking the adventure lifestyle in a thriving city environment, making it an ideal location. Additionally, Continuum has done a tremendous job creating a high-quality hotel that perfectly aligns with Limelight’s vision for its first urban property.”

The pet-friendly Limelight Denver has several complimentary programs, which can be facilitated by the property’s adventure concierge. The adventure concierge tailors a custom itinerary through the property’s partnerships with the neighboring Museum of Contemporary Art, Colorado Athletic Club or Aspire Tours.
